Terms of Service

This is a plain-language summary, not legal advice.

What QuietBid is

QuietBid is a free, private marketplace that connects furniture buyers with sellers who are willing to meet their price. You find a piece you want at any retailer, tell us the price you would pay, and we privately ask sellers who carry it whether they will accept.

QuietBid is not a party to the sale. The purchase happens directly between you and the seller. We are not involved in payment, shipping, delivery, or returns.

What a bid means

A bid is a serious statement of what you would happily pay for a specific piece. It is not a binding contract. Nothing is final until a seller accepts your price and you confirm that you want to go ahead.

You may withdraw a bid before a seller responds. Once you confirm a deal with a seller, you are arranging a purchase directly with that seller under their terms.

Your privacy in a bid

While we are asking around, sellers see only the item SKU, your bid, and the expiration date. Your name and contact details are shared with a seller only after that seller accepts and you choose to proceed.

For sellers

There is no upfront cost and no fee to join. When a deal closes, the seller pays QuietBid a commission on the terms agreed at signup. There is no fee to the buyer and no per-bid fee.

Warranties and returns

QuietBid makes no warranties about any piece. The product, its condition, the warranty, delivery, and any return policy all come from the seller under their standard terms. Confirm those details with the seller before you buy.

The service is provided as is. We do our best to reach sellers and report results honestly, but we cannot guarantee that any seller will accept your price.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, QuietBid is not liable for any loss arising from a purchase you make from a seller, since the sale is directly between you and that seller. Our role is to connect you privately.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, in the United States.
